Hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving holiday! I spent most of my vacation cooking, eating, and catching up with family and relatives. Didn’t participate in the Black Friday madness this year, but Cyber Monday is hitting me hard.
Thanksgiving day was gorgeous here in the South Bay, 70F with clear blue sky. I even had time to take a break from cooking and went on a walk to enjoy the beautiful colors of Fall foliage.
Enjoy the pictures, will post some of these recipes this week.
Brussels sprouts, pumpkin Gruyere prosciutto gourgeres, corn bread sausage dressing, braised Southern greens, and steaming mounds of sweet potatoes to make mashed chipotle sweet potato and a spiked sweet potato cake (with spiked marshmallow frosting)
Grits and mushroom toasts, pumpkin trifle completed with a whole gingerbread family, roast turkey 1 of 2, and spiked sweet potato cake with marshmallow frosting!
Yum! What a feast!
what was your favorite item?
loooved everything. But I especially loved the grits and mushroom toasts my sister made. The trifle was so yummy too!
Where did the gingerbread family come from? Did you make them?
