Valentine’s Day

For Valentine’s day this year, Joe took me to Elements for dinner 🙂

We first discovered Elements when we were searching for a venue for our wedding rehearsal dinner. It’s located in a strip mall, with a bright neon sign on the door. If I didn’t Yelp it, I would have never gone in to try the food. Elements is an Asian fusion restaurant, mostly between Vietnamese and French cusine, with some regular American standard dishes like burgers and steak. Very simple and chic decor, but not pretentious. Family-owned so everyone’s very friendly. Reasonable price range, and a pretty decent wine selection.

Here is a picture of their famous salmon wellington. Puff pastry wrapped salmon (a HUGE piece) with spinach, mushroom, and onion. Set on top of grilled asparagus and a pool of herb beur blanc sauce. Very unique presentation. It was perfectly cooked and I actually ate the whole thing, plus our calamari appetizer, which was very delicious and tender as well.
